Robert Haynes flower paste is of the finest quality, allowing you to confidently work with the greatest of ease. Firm with extra durability yet still being extremely flexible. The flower paste doesn’t dry out quickly, allowing plenty of working time. You can be sure of no tiny holes even when rolling the paste ultra-fine! For example, when making super fine see-through butterfly wings. There will be no cracking, tearing, or sticking, a little goes a long way. This paste is perfectly suited for those with warm hands who require a slightly firmer paste.

Sugar Flower Studio flower paste performs brilliantly in high humidity and high-temperature environments while retaining its amazing shape.

The flower paste recipe is predominantly starch-based, which allows the surface of the paste to absorb moisture in the atmosphere, therefore in the warmer summer months, the paste dries a lot firmer – while in the winter months, the paste has a little more give and remains slightly flexible.

To color the Flower paste use Robert’s concentrated color powders which give incredible results, The paste can also be colored with gel or liquid food colorings, edible powders and luster dusts. This flower paste allows you to paint natural floral or leaf variegation markings directly onto the flower paste surface with no remaining sheen, using Robert’s various setting glazes. This paste is perfectly suited for multiple full glazing and steaming techniques to set colorings.

The flower paste requires minimal kneading, its perfect consistency attaches beautifully to floral wires creating textured stems, twiddling techniques, invisible natural leaf joins and bark effects which can be blended seamlessly together using Roberts handmade, super soft paintbrushes with water.

Another characteristic incorporated into the development of this exceptional paste, is the ability to use a hot hairdryer to give additional movement to dry petals or leaves, it works a treat!
